Meet our Directors
Shaun Brownsmith
Managing Director
Shaun is our Managing Director with over 20 years experience of looking after the needs of owner-managers and company directors, together with UK subsidiaries and multinational groups. Shaun utilises his own experiences as a business owner to help inspire and encourage his clients’ to achieve their goals and is continuously growing his in house team of experts.
Shaun is the expert at guiding our clients through the maze of legislative red tape, using commercial experience to put a practical twist on the unavoidable compliance process and helping clients develop their business and achieve their goals. His specialities include, but are not limited to, not-for-profit, due diligence, management reporting, corporate tax, personal tax SAR and business advisory.
Shaun is a Non-Executive Director on the Buckinghamshire Business First Board and in the spare time that he manages to find, enjoys not just watching football, but also coaching for local youth football teams at Aylesbury United Juniors.
Katherine Parsey
Director
Katherine is one of our Directors, a Chartered Accountant and Tax Advisor who works hard to ensure our tax team work in partnership with the other areas of our business to provide focused tax advice to clients.
Katherine has over 35 years of experience in advising individuals and owner-managed businesses, providing specialist tax planning advice in relation to Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and the taxation of Trust. Katherine works with her clients to provide a service tailored to their requirements.
Outside of work, Katherine enjoys spending time with her family and is a Governor at a the local primary school that her three sons previously attended.
Seymour Griffiths
Director
Seymour is a Chartered Certified Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor who oversees a team that cares for statutory and management accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies, as well as personal, corporate, and other business tax affairs. With a specialism in the healthcare sector, Seymour works with clients both locally and throughout the UK.
Outside of work, Seymour follows Tottenham Hotspur FC and enjoys cycling, 70’s and 80’s music and foreign holidays. His ambition is to visit all 50 US States – he is well over halfway to achieving that goal!
Bianca Permal
Audit Director
Bianca is Director with over 20 years of experience focusing on audit and business advisory, from medium sized SME clients through to UK subsidiaries and large, international corporate clients requiring group reporting and consolidations. Her specialisms include property, retail, manufacturing and construction clients.
Having gained experience at a Big 5 firm and working in industry, Bianca has extensive finance experience and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Bianca has a dance background and loves to watch Strictly Come Dancing and says if she wasn’t an accountant, she would have become a maths teacher as she has always loved working with numbers.
Dan Hart
Tax Director
Dan is an Associate Tax Director who joined us in 2021 as ACA qualified. He helps to lead our tax team in providing a tailored tax service to our clients and has more than nine years of experience with personal tax returns and accounts.
Dan has a range of responsibilities within the firm and manages a portfolio of personal tax and small to medium sized businesses. Dan works closely with our clients to provide guidance and advisory work in relation to inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts and estates.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, including long walks with his family’s dogs, Buddy and Lola. Dan also likes experimenting with his 3D printer, even creating members of the team 3D printed fidget puzzles!
Meet our Accounts and Corporate Tax Team
Bobby Thompson
Portfolio Manager
Bobby is one of our Portfolio Managers and is ACCA and AAT qualified. He joined us at the start of his accounting career and has progressed to where he is today, having carried out all of his training whilst with us.
He specialises in accounts, tax and company secretarial and manages a portfolio of small to medium sized businesses for which he provides a range of services, such as accounts, corporation tax and personal tax. Bobby also oversees the training of our junior accountants.
In his free time, Bobby enjoys golf, pub walks and supporting West Ham. An interesting fact about Bobby is that his younger sibling was born on his third birthday, and his dad and uncle were also born on the same day 3 years apart!
Richard Bateman
Portfolio Manager
Richard is a Chartered Certified Accountant and is involved in the production of year end statutory accounts, business tax computations, monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns. His background is in financial outsourcing services through which he has gained an in-depth working knowledge of Xero accounting software as well as experience in working closely with businesses to produce timely and accurate management information.
Richard also has a teaching background and therefore enjoys spending time training and educating our trainees with a view to building their confidence and capability in the preparation of year end accounts, business tax computations and many other aspects of working within an accountancy practice.
In his spare time Richard enjoys playing the drums and (occasionally) playing in a band, as well as reading detective novels and going on walks.
Ed Bryant
Accounts Supervisor
Ed is an Accounts Supervisor and a key part of our accounts team here at Dux Advisory. He started off as an apprentice, completing his AAT level 3 and is now fully ACA qualified.
Ed’s role involves the preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns for a portfolio of clients, supervising and assisting members of the accounts team with their daily tasks, and reviewing files for the managers and partners.
Outside of work, Ed enjoys football, golf and travelling, and previously spent a year in Australia working!

Mason Scott
Accounts Assistant
Mason is an Accounts Assistant here at Dux Advisory. He first joined our admin team as part of his Business Administration Apprenticeship and is now a valuable member of our accounts team.
Masons responsibilities include assisting our managers with the preparation and completion of accounts and corporation tax returns. He has also undertaken company secretarial duties, assisting our co-sec team with a number of jobs, such as filing confirmation statements and logging changes to company information.
In his free time, Mason enjoys socialising, traveling and playing football.

Jackie Pritchard
Accounts Assistant
Jackie is a qualified member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, and is an Accounts Assistant, responsible for overseeing the services of an array of our clients, most of which are limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Jackie’s typical day involves preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, helping our VAT team with their returns and getting involved in the company secretarial side of our services, making her a valued member of our hard-working accounts and tax team.
In her free time, Jackie enjoys walking, travelling and going to see live music, and has recently become a Grandmother!
Mohammed Waqar
Accounts Assistant
Mohammed is an Accounts Assistant here at Dux Advisory, qualified in AAT level 2, 3 and 4 and plays a pivotal role as part of the team.
Responsible for the preparation of company accounts and corporation tax, Mohammed also prepares reconciliations to support his work, ensuring smooth communication by reporting to our client managers for year-end accounts and tax reports. He is very tech smart and uses an array of different softwares and systems.
Outside of work, Mohammed enjoys spending time with his family, and has a keen interest for football and cricket.
Jemel Townsend-Brown
Accounts Assistant
Jemel is a part of our outsourcing team and undertakes the role of Outsourcing Assistant. He is part qualified and studying his AAT.
Jemel’s role involves preparing management accounts and completing bank reconciliations for a number of our clients, processing and filing VAT returns, among many other bookkeeping tasks. He is responsible for overseeing company’s finances and ensuring that books are being maintained accurately.
Outside of work, Jemel is adventurous and enjoys going for walks and trying new foods, alongside watching and playing football.
Alex Drew
Accounts Assistant
Alex is one of our Accounts Assistants, having graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 in Management with Marketing. He is now studying towards my ACCA exams.
Alex’s role is focused on conducting audits and independent examinations for a range of clients, specialising in providing services for large to medium-sized charities. His responsibilities include communicating with clients to obtain relevant audit information, conducting substantive audit tests and tests of control, performing analytical reviews of financial statements and visiting clients on-site.
Alex enjoys playing and watching football and is an Arsenal season ticket holder! He is also a keen runner and is a member of Tring Running Club.
Kian McMillan
Accounts Assistant
Kian joined us as an Accounts Apprentice, having returned to us after completing work experience with us during his GCSEs.
Having successfully qualified, Kian now works closely with our tax team with tax returns and is dealing with self-employed clients and some small to medium sized companies. His responsibilities vary a lot but include data entry and communicating with the wider team to ensure that the jobs in progress are running smoothly.
When he isn’t at work, Kian enjoys playing football!
Rhys Saunders
Accounts Assistant
Rhys is one of our Personal Tax and Accounts Apprentices and is currently studying for his AAT Level 3 qualification, having previously completed a T Level in Business and Administration at college.
In his role, Rhys assists with the completion of tax returns for clients, including sole traders, while gaining hands-on experience across a range of accounting and tax work.
Outside of work, Rhys enjoys watching his brother’s Sunday football matches and going to the gym in his free time.

Sara Simmonds
Tax and Employment Benefit Advisor
Sara is a Personal Tax and Employment Benefits Advisor, a role which involves working closely with clients to prepare and submit personal tax and P11D returns in a timely manner, and ensuring compliance requirements for personal tax are met.
As a longstanding member of the team she has been able to build good working relationships with our clients and takes pride in being approachable and reliable.
Outside of work Sara enjoys long countryside walks with her husband and their Cocker Spaniel Rolo, as well as travel both in the UK and abroad. She has a reputation in the office as a star baker and her chocolate brownies are always in demand!
Simi Rughani
Tax Assistant
Simi is a Tax Assistant and is a part-qualified ACA with over 6 years’ experience with personal tax returns/accounts and a small stint abroad working in industry. She has an array of skills and responsibilities and works closely with the Tax Directors/Managers to not only complete and review personal tax returns, but also to assist with any advisory work and queries relating to CGT, personal tax planning etc.
Outside of work, Simi enjoys spending time with her young family, loves to travel, plays the piano and her favourite pas time is cooking and experimenting in the kitchen.
Harry Metcalfe
Tax Assistant
Harry joined Dux Advisory as a trainee for his placement year as part of his university degree. Once the placement was completed, he returned to Nottingham Trent university and continued to work for us on a part time remote basis alongside his accounting and finance degree.
With his degree under his belt, Harry is now back with us full time and is well on his way towards his ACA qualification!
Harry loves all sports – he is a keen Everton fan and also loves NFL and follows his team the Chicago Bears.

Hanif Atitebi
Tax Assistant
Hanif is one of our Personal Tax and Accounts Apprentice and is currently studying towards his AAT qualification, having previously completed a T Level in Business (Management, Leadership and Administration) at Buckinghamshire College Group (Aylesbury Campus).
In his role, Hanif assists with the completion of tax returns for clients while gaining hands on experience across a range of accounting and tax work.
Outside of work, Hanif loves to play basketball. He loves the NBA, and he is a loyal Philadelphia 76ers fan. Hanif also likes watching football and he is a Chelsea fan. He also enjoys going to the gym.
Meet our Audit Team
James Foskett
Principal Accountant
James joined us in 2023 after many years with another local firm. He is a Fellow of the ICAEW (FCA) and holds a Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA).
Whilst James has a wide range of business experience, including running his previous firm, his specialisms lie in audit, charities and VAT and he enjoys sharing this knowledge with clients and the rest of the team. He is a valued member of our audit team, and is a key part in our audit trainees’ development – reviewing their work, supporting them and advising them as part of their ongoing training.
Away from work, James is a long-standing season ticket holder at Watford FC, as well as being involved with his local church and Scout group.
Tyler Jeffs
Audit Supervisor
Tyler is an Audit Supervisor and joined Dux Advisory in 2025 from a Top 40 firm in London with over 8 years of experience in auditing and accounts. Tyler has for most of his career specialised in providing advice and support to Charities, Non-Profits and Academy Trusts.
Managing the Audit team and overseeing a diverse portfolio of audit clients, Tyler’s day-to-day work varies. It includes meeting with clients, assisting and training team members, reviewing the work of junior staff, and preparing and researching technical information to ensure high-quality audit delivery.
Outside of work, Tyler leverages his professional skills for the benefit of various charitable and non profit organisations. He holds two Trusteeships, and is very involved in the Scouts, helping to lead for the local area. He also sits on the board of directors for two Academy Trusts, one as the Chair of the operations and finance sub committee, using his experience and knowledge in the sector to benefit young people.
Dominic Fidler
Audit Supervisor
Dominic is an Audit Senior here at Dux Advisory and is currently studying for his ACA qualification with a good number of exams already under his belt!
A day in Dominic’s role includes preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax, conducting stock takes, carrying out independent examinations and completing the audit work for a number of our clients. Knowledgeable and comprehensive, Dominic communicates with our audit clients on a daily basis and is at the ready to answer any audit related queries that come his way.
Dominic is that he has played for Tring Rugby club for over 15 years, and is a supporter of The Saracens.
David Green
Consultant
David joined us as a consultant, having been a director of a firm of chartered accountants for thirty-five years. He has a wealth of experience with owner-managed business, with audit of both commercial and charitable entities and in advising clients personally too.
David has also acted as Independent Examiner for a range of charities and has worked with other not-for-profit organisations over many years. David works with us on a part-time basis.
Away from the firm, David is the Vicar of a modest Church of England parish near Pinner in the north-west of the London Diocese, a role he also loves.
Comfort Olise-Aikins
Audit Senior
Comfort is a member of our audit team as a Senior Auditor. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ghana, and has a masters degree in business analytics and a Batchelors degree in Accountancy.
Comfort’s role is diverse and offers lots of challenges, with an average day consisting of planning audit strategies, conducting fieldwork through testing and analysis, communicating with clients and collaborating with our audit team and reviewing the documentation and preparation of audit reports. Comfort’s responsibilities include carrying out internal control, system and walkthrough tests, carrying out basic audit tests and the preparation of accounts.
Outside of work, Comfort enjoys hanging out with her friends, visiting new places and binging movies.
Uzair Aslam
Audit Senior
Uzair is an Audit Semi-Senior at Dux Advisory. He graduated with a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Aston University, obtaining multiple exemptions for ACA, which will fast-track his journey towards completing his ACA qualification.
In his role, Uzair is responsible for preparing audit documentation, conducting risk assessments, and supporting senior auditors in executing comprehensive audits. He frequently engages with clients to collect and verify financial information, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, Uzair assists in the preparation of financial statements and tax computations, contributing to the accurate and timely completion of our audit engagements.
Outside of work, Uzair enjoys going to the gym, playing football and cricket, and cooking. He also coaches’ cricket part-time, sharing his expertise and love for the sport with others.

Junaid Hussain
Audit Semi-Senior
Junaid is a Semi-Senior Auditor at Dux Advisory. He graduated with a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Royal Holloway, University of London, and is now nearing completion of his ACA qualification.
In his role, Junaid supports the delivery of high-quality audit engagements by preparing detailed audit documentation, performing risk assessments, and assisting with the execution of audit procedures. He brings valuable experience from his previous role at Forvis Mazars, where he developed strong technical skills and gained exposure to a wide range of client sectors. His responsibilities also include liaising with clients to obtain and verify financial information, as well as contributing to the preparation of financial statements and tax computations.
Outside of work, Junaid enjoys watching classic 80s films, staying active at the gym, and spending time with friends and family.
Josh Creasor
Audit Junior
Josh is an Audit Junior at Dux Advisory, with previous charity experience in the financial sector and a BSc in Financial Trading and Investment Management.
In his role, Josh is responsible for assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, conducting stock takes, carrying out independent examinations, and completing audit work for a number of clients. He also regularly liaises with clients to collect and verify financial information, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys watching and playing football and futsal, having previously played in the National Futsal League. He is an avid Arsenal supporter and enjoys friendly conversations about sport with others.
John Danistan
Audit Junior
John is an Audit Trainee here Dux following his time at Bournemouth University where he gained his BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.
He supports the audit team across a range of clients, assisting with the preparation of accounts and contributing to audit and independent examination work.
The role involves supporting senior team members with audit testing, preparing working papers, and helping ensure audits are completed accurately and efficiently. This is all enabling John to develop his understanding of audit processes while gaining hands-on experience working with clients across different sectors.
When he’s not at work or studying, John enjoys going to the gym, gaming and playing football.
Meet our Outsourcing Team
Marina Hunt
Principal Accountant
Marina is our Principal Accountant and an ACCA-qualified professional. A typical day sees Marina dealing with client enquiries and reviewing work prepared by other members of the team.
In her role, Marina oversees the outsourcing department, implements MTD IT systems, and liaises directly with clients to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Outside of work, Marina enjoys reading and completing jigsaw puzzles.
Tom Gillett
Outsourcing Accountant
Tom is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) who joined Dux Advisory after eight years’ experience at other local practices. During this time, he undertook general practice roles, providing a full suite of services including accounts production, audits of local and international businesses, independent examinations for charities, personal and corporation tax returns, R&D claims, VAT returns, and general advice and guidance.
He oversees the Outsourcing team at Dux, delivering bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT assistance and advice, while ensuring high standards of accuracy for our clients. Tom prides himself on being approachable, helpful, and supportive with any task that comes across his desk, whether from colleagues or clients.
An Aylesbury local, Tom grew up in Wendover and can often be found at local quizzes on weekday evenings, at Parkrun on Saturday mornings, or playing pool and watching films at the cinema at weekends. He also enjoys a relaxed meal and catching up with family and friends.
Tom is a season ticket holder at Leicester City Football Club, having spent his university years in the city studying Economics. He was an active member of the Dodgeball Society (yes, like the film!) and went on to play for London Storm Dodgeball Club for many years after graduating.
Kate McHugh
Payroll Assistant
Kate makes up half of our payroll team and is a key part of our company secretarial team here at Dux Advisory. She is qualified in Level 4 Practitioner Certificate in Payroll.
Kate’s day involves the running of payrolls, ensuring efficiency with clients’ payroll systems and dealing with client pensions. Kate communicates with our clients and HMRC daily, she also assists our company secretarial team with the submission of confirmation statements and annual returns.
In her free time, Kate enjoys reading true crime and watching horror movies.
Cristina Galatanu
Outsourcing Assistant
Cristina is an Outsourcing Assistant and part of our outsourcing team. She is AATQB qualified and Xero advisor certified.
Cristina’s responsibilities include overseeing our clients service charges, taking involvement in management accounts, and helping out with the account and outsourcing teams queries and tasks. Cristina is keen to take on challenges, and is enthusiastic about problem solving and excel spreadsheets!
Any spare time of Cristina’s is spent gardening, walking and playing badminton and tennis.
Lisa Peverill
Outsourcing Assistant
Lisa is an Outsourcing Assistant within our outsourcing team here at Dux Advisory and is responsible for processing our clients’ records through Dext and overseeing a number of bookkeeping and office administration tasks.
Having worked in the accounting sector for the last four years, Lisa has a background as an executive assistant and carries many years experience in dealing with independent business owners.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music and going on days out to the theatre.
Meet our Support Team
Imi O’Connor
Client Relationship Lead
Imi is the Client Relationship Lead here at Dux Advisory.
After graduating from Nottingham Business School with a degree in Management and Marketing, Imi first joined us as a Marketing and Administrative Assistant. She has now begun her journey as Dux Advisory Limited’s Client Relationship Lead.
Imi works on the client portfolios of directors Katherine Parsey and Dan Hart. Her responsibilities are wide-ranging, and no day is ever the same. She liaises with the directors and their teams to ensure that clients’ needs are met and well looked after. Imi is also responsible for the training of our Administrative Assistants.

Tabitha Donnelly
Client Relationship Support
Tabitha joined Dux Advisory as a Business Administration Apprentice. Qualifying in April 2026, the apprenticeship has allowed her to progress into her current role as Client Relationship Support.
Tabitha is now putting all her skills into practice. Her responsibilities include working on client portfolios, supporting the wider team, and liaising directly with clients to help streamline processes.
Outside of work, Tabitha enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family and walking her dogs.
Anya Ryan
Business Administration Assistant
Anya joined Dux Advisory as a Business Administration Apprentice.
Following on from a T-Level in Business Management and Administration, Anya felt an apprenticeship was a progressive, supportive, and fulfilling opportunity to work on tailoring and refining her skills and knowledge within administration, whilst simultaneously supporting the growth of the business.
Anya’s responsibilities include delivering and overseeing business fundamentals, working alongside all departments and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Away from the desk, Anya likes to surround herself with friends walking/hiking outdoors, travel and listen to feel good music.
Lindsey Cartwright
Marketing
Lindsey is responsible for the Marketing here at Dux Advisory.
After studying Marketing with Psychology at Uni, Lindsey started her marketing career in the motors industry and moved onto fork lift trucks. From here, she freelanced for 8 years while her children were young and then started marketing for accountants, and has been doing that for over 10 years.
Covering all aspects of marketing for Dux Advisory, Lindsey oversees the digital, web and social media management, event coordination, content writing and design. She is helped by her trusty sidekick Amina.
As for interesting facts? Lindsey’s daughter was born in the footwell of the car, delivered by her husband. She is known for being late, but perhaps took this one a bit far!
She loves family time, baking, swimming and walking her troublesome dog.
Amina Sadiq
Marketing Assistant
After years of working as a dispenser at a pharmacy, Amina decided it was time for a change of career. In her pursuit for change, she discovered multi-media marketing and realised it would be the right fit. However, attending university was not something Amina wanted to do, so she found an apprenticeship at Dux. It was perfect, allowing her to work and study at the same time.
Now fully qualified as a Multi-Channel Marketer, Amina’s role at Dux involves helping to create social media posts, working on the company website; including analysing Google Analytics and working on SEO, getting involved in event organisation and collaborating closely with Lindsey on marketing campaigns.
In her spare time, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family.

Fahim Maqsood
Director
Fahim is the Director of our Luton office and works closely with individuals, owner-managed businesses, and growing UK companies.
With over 10 years’ experience, he helps clients make confident financial decisions, stay compliant, and build stronger, more sustainable businesses. His approach is practical, commercially focused, and jargon-free, turning complex financial matters into clear actions and opportunities.
Fahim is passionate about building long-term relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to our clients, supporting them through every stage of their journey, from day-to-day operations to growth, investment, and future planning.
